I made a grasshopper (a parametrical plugin for rhino) definition that automatically divides a nurbs surface into hexagons. So I dont have to build every single tile if i want to try proportions etc.
They are not real hexagons because I think its not possible to make a 3d hexagonal mesh. so its basically 2 quads that build one hexagon.
I just finished the script and have not played around so much but som impressions what it can do.
